CONCRETE.
POURED RIGHT.

Driveways, walkways, patios, steps, and decorative concrete — built on proper base preparation and precise finishing. Residential concrete work that stands up to Pennsylvania's toughest weather.

OVERVIEW / 01

STRONG FROM
THE GROUND UP.

Concrete is the backbone of durable construction. Done right, it lasts for generations. Done wrong, it cracks, settles, and has to be torn out and redone. At Muthler Landscaping, we do concrete the right way — from the very first shovel of sub-base to the final broom finish.

We partner with Centre Concrete, Central Pennsylvania's premier ready-mix supplier, for consistent quality on every pour. Combined with our in-house crew and experienced finishers, we deliver residential concrete work that holds up for decades across Clinton, Lycoming, and Centre Counties.

PROCESS / 03

HOW WE DO
IT RIGHT.

The difference between concrete that cracks in 2 years and concrete that lasts 30+ is in the prep. Our process:

01. Site Assessment
Soil composition analysis, grading evaluation, drainage planning. We plan before we pour.
02. Base Preparation
Thorough excavation, compacted stone sub-base, and proper drainage solutions installed.
03. Forming & Reinforcement
Precision forms, rebar or wire mesh reinforcement, control joints planned for crack prevention.
04. Pour & Finish
Centre Concrete ready-mix, precise placement, expert finishing — broom, stamped, or smooth. Always residential-grade quality.
05. Cure & Seal
Proper curing time, temperature monitoring, and optional protective sealants for longevity.
06. Cleanup & Walkthrough
Site cleaned up like we were never there. Final walkthrough to confirm everything meets your expectations.

FAQ / 05

COMMON
QUESTIONS.

How long before I can drive on new concrete?
Concrete cures gradually — you can walk on it after 24-48 hours, drive a car on it after 7 days, and drive heavy vehicles after 28 days. We'll let you know exactly when each milestone is safe based on weather and mix specifications.
What's the best time of year to pour concrete in PA?
Late spring through early fall is ideal — temperatures consistently above 40°F, no freeze risk. We can pour in cold weather with additives and protection, but summer and fall are optimal for long-term results.
Why does concrete crack and can you prevent it?
All concrete cracks eventually — it's in the nature of the material. The goal is controlling where it cracks. We use control joints, proper reinforcement, and correct concrete thickness to direct cracks to planned locations where they're barely visible.
Do I need a permit for a concrete driveway?
Most residential driveway replacements don't require permits, but new driveways or those connecting to public streets often do. We handle all permit requirements — it's included in your estimate when needed.
How much does concrete cost per square foot?
Basic concrete flatwork typically runs $8-$15 per square foot installed. Decorative concrete (stamped, colored) ranges $12-$20 per square foot. Factors include thickness, reinforcement, site prep, and finish type. We give you transparent line-item pricing.
Do you do commercial concrete projects?
Yes — we do residential and commercial work. Parking lots, warehouse floors, commercial foundations, loading docks. Our equipment and crew scale up for larger jobs without sacrificing quality.
