Prices are for a typical lot within 30 minutes of Lock Haven: equipment access through a gate or around the house, flat to moderate slope, no rock or buried surprises. Travel beyond that is shown by town below. Permits, if required, are obtained and paid for by the homeowner.
What moves the price
- Cost climbs faster than height. Taller walls need a deeper, wider base, more drainage stone behind the block, and above about 3 ft usually geogrid. Walls over 4 ft are engineered and quoted separately.
- Longer walls spread setup and delivery, so the per-foot price drops on bigger walls.
- Every block, ton of base and ton of drainage stone has to reach the wall. A skid steer path is assumed in our prices.
- Wet clay or a downspout dumping behind the wall means more drainage work. Most failures we tear out are drainage failures.
- Standard segmental block is included. Premium or natural stone faces add about 15%.

Do I need a permit for a retaining wall in PA?
It depends on your municipality and the wall height; many townships require one over 3 or 4 ft. Permits, if required, are obtained and paid for by the homeowner. We give you the drawings and specs the township asks for.
Why do retaining walls fail?

Is your price really fixed?
Yes. Our plans assume normal equipment access, flat to moderate slope and no rock, and we confirm that on a free 15-minute site walk before the contract is written. If your site changes the job, you hear it before you sign.
How do I pay for it?
Pay 33% at signing and the balance as the work is done; we never take more than one-third down. Or finance it: the monthly figures on this page are examples over 120 months at 9.99% APR with approved credit through a third-party lender; terms vary.
When can you build it?
Outdoor production runs mid-March through November, and builds are scheduled in the order contracts are signed. Reserving a plan holds your place.
